Tips before your wax service

Hair length is important when waxing the body. The hair should be between ¼ and ½ inch long or be grown out for 2 to 3 weeks. If the hair is too short, the wax will not be able to grab onto it to pull it out. When the hair is too long it can cause bruising and can be more painful.

Avoid tanning 24 hours before and after waxing this means both tanning beds and lying out by the pool. Tanning before waxing can cause the skin to lift. Tanning afterward may cause the skin to burn quickly in the area that was waxed.

Keep your skin hydrated. Wax loves dry skin and once it is on it does not want to let go. To help make sure the waxing process goes smoothly, it is best to exfoliate skin 24 hours beforehand.

Alcohol and some pain medications can thin the blood which can lead to bruising during waxing service.
